General Parade Information
Uniforms
Come dressed & ready to march! Skirts are worn with the red at the left hip, white at the right hip. White tennis shoes (no colored laces!) and white ankle socks on your feet. If it is 70 degrees or less the day of the parade, you can wear you "CYSC" Sweatshirt or Jacket or add a red or white turtleneck under your leotard. Flesh colored tights or nylons can be worn on your legs. Hair should be worn up in a bun, high ponytail, pigtails, ect. If you have not purchased a uniform bow, you can add your own red or white ribbon/barratte. No jewlery please. Add a little blush and lipstick to make our smiles stand out!
Parents
Please arrive on time! The later you are, the harder it will be to get to the line-up area because the streets will be blocked off. Drop off your child with us and the parent volunteers and then park your car at the end of the parade. After parking, find a spot along the parade route to watch us. Don't forget to cheer us on! You are no allowed to walk along the parade route with us to the end after we march by you. Come to the end of the parade no later than the ending time below to pick up your child. We will stay with your child until you come for her. No student will be allowed to leave until a relative comes & gets them, so don't tell your child to meet you somewhere because we won't let her go! Let your child know who will be picking her up. This is very important! Please stress to your child not to leave until you come and get her! Have a cold drink ready because she will be thirsty!
CYSC is not responisble for the cancellation of any parade due to bad weather. Some parades are rescheduled, others are not. It is 1responsibility to call the CYSC office for that information. If it is only slightly raining at parade time, chances are it will proceed.
